Bright & Shiny Young Thing

All dressed up and nowhere to go (waiting for the gas man...yes, really).

I almost wore this with shorts & thigh-high socks, but quickly came to the realization that if I wanted to look like Heidi, I should just save it for Halloween or a costume party.

Aren't gerbera daisies so pretty?

I can never come up with a flattering way to wear this green cardi-vest, because it flares out in an awkward, pregnancy-inspired A-line shape that is very unflattering. Then I had the realization that I could just cinch a belt around it and solve all of my problems.

Amen.

Lookout, she's getting artsy on us!

Now taking bets: is the flower I'm holding real, or fake? It could totally be real (why would I have a random fake gerbera daisy flower laying around?) or it could totally be fake (like I would drive to the flower shop for a daisy...). Let the betting begin.

Newest obsession: my Capturing Couture designer camera strap (mine is the Organza in Hot Pink--of course!).

Sometimes, especially after having spend countless hundreds of dollars on a Canon digital SLR, you just don't feel like wearing their ugly, and uncomfortable vinyl strap emblazoned with their logo. And free advertising? Fughettaboutit!

So, after typing in "designer camera straps" into my google search bar, I came across this really unique and adorable shop that creates--you guessed it--chic camera straps!

What a way to bring in some femininity to an otherwise cold, hard, masculine tool. I love it! It's backed with soft, padded velvet so it feels so nice against the back of your neck. What do you think?

I finally switched out my Canon EOS 20D (circa 2003) for a Canon Digital Rebel XSi. I love that it has a remote so I don't have to run back and forth activating a self-timer every time HB isn't around to snap my outfit shots. Fabulous!

What I'm Wearing:

  • Tuxedo Top, New York & Company
  • Green Cardi/Vest, Xhilaration
  • Leather Belt, "borrowed" from Mom's closet years ago
  • Jeans, Habitual
  • Platform Wedge Sandals, Xhilaration
