Color Blocking

Bloggers

I've been dying to try my hand at the color block trend. Pairing bright, solid colors that either complement or clash to herald the onset of spring? Yes please!

I admit this challenge did have some roadblocks. The first was that I realized I didn't own a single solid bright colored bottom--nary a skirt, short or pant in sight. So off I trudged to Zara which I knew had all the brights going on this season, where I met my next roadblock: money. Why, why are you so expensive Z?! But oh, how I love you. And so I bought this skirt. I quite love it, actually, and can see myself pairing it with a white polka dot top or a creamy nude short sleeved sweater in the fall. I can't wait to look through all of your wonderful color-blocking submissions--and believe me, I'll go through them all, and so should you!

Tomorrow there will be a Bloggers Do It Better linkup post, where you can enter your link (including a spiffy thumbnail generator) to your color blocking assignment post! Can't wait to check them all out!

Also, as a reminder, you will need to have the button on your blog to have your link eligible - if not, your link will unfortunately have to be removed. So make sure you have it up! Als0, feel free to link in your post to Bloggers Do It Better so people can enjoy everyone's takes on the challenge, (use this link).

Peep the back of this top - it's completely sheer lace, so I opted to go with a bra color that matches my skirt. That, combined with fuschia lips & coral polish on my nails means I was color-blocking my theoretical socks off!

Post your links on tomorrow's Bloggers Do It Better: Colorblocking post! The linkup will be there!!
