Half Moon Nails

I’m a big fan of the half-moon trend, and after reading this gal’s post about lilac & gold nails, I knew I had to apply the color pairing to half moon nails. Now, I’d never tried this before, but I knew the basics (use notebook reinforcement stickers, etc.). But I never realized just how truly difficult this is for the impatient in life. I messed up my left thumb so many times, I basically tried to exclude it from most of the shots you’ll see below. I eventually got it all fixed, once I forced myself to wait long enough for the gold to actually dry.

So, lesson learned: BE PATIENT! You will reap what you sow.

Ingredients:

Sure, it’s not perfect, but it will be with more practice.

…Too bad my Chanel Fall 2011 nail polishes arrive at my doorstep tomorrow (that’s Peridot and Graphite). Guess what I’ll be doing?

    Seems like everyone is smitten with this type of manicure. I actually really like this look as more of a reverse french manicure. I saw it on Jessica Biel once and it's really pretty. =)

    Hey Kristina! You should definitely order this stuff called Kiesque Liquid Palisade. http://liquidpalisade.com/indexb.php. Its a liquid that you put on for wherever you DON'T want nail polish to get and it turns tacky once it hits your skin and just peels off with any of your unwanted nail polish when you're done.     Hiya! Fun design! I just wanted to tell you, if after you apply your final color (before your top coat) take a block buffer, not a new one. You want it to be used, so the grit is more on the buffing side. Any way take your block and lightly buff the final color. You will have to wait for it to dry obviously, but this will give it a more smooth finish after you apply the top coat. It will eliminate the hard line between the two colors;) I am a licensed nail chick so this is safe lol
