Help Me Choose My Ray-Ban Wayfarers

by Kristina on January 18, 2010

Lest I nearly disintegrate my gift card that I got for Christmas (absentmindedly fiddling with it in indecision), I figure it’s time to make the purchase. The Purchase. One that until recently would have made me laugh and tell myself that “The 80′s called, they want your sunglasses back.” Ah, but how the times (and trends) change. So without further ado ladies (& gentlemen!), please help me choose my new pair of Ray-Ban New Wayfarers!

I am also particularly fond of (although not exactly sure of their practicality):

So there you have it. My choices. Your choices. Please decide. I’m counting on you to make the decision! Comment with your choice of #1 (Black), #2 (Red/Leopard), #3 (Blue/Cream), or #4 (Pink).

Please. Help.

Love, Kristina

I’m for #3, the Blue/Cream combination. The look feels more updated. :-)

I’m not 100% sold on this trend and think that it may on the way out – that being said, I would go for the black classic pair since, without a doubt, it will be back within the next 3-5 years. Black goes with everything and allows you to accessorize in other ways without the whole looking going into trend overkill.

I’d also go with the black, though I see your dilemma, as the others are super cute. Now, having acquired a good basic pair recently, I have started eyeing other, less practical ones… But I think I’d still say black.

Though I can be a sucker for trends I’ll always rely on classic basic black. (Think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys). If you already have a pair of basic black shades I would go with #2, but #1 would be my first choice.
