Did you gorge yourself as much as I did this past Thanksgiving? I’ll admit, I was a bit of a downer–my dog went missing the day before and sadly is still missing. We are on Winnie Watch, and even sent out a Pet Amber Alert for her (didn’t know they had those!). Fingers crossed and hearts open that she comes back to us safe and sound.

Missing dog aside, I do have a lot to be thankful for this year, and one of those things is you guys. Without you, I wouldn’t be writing this blog. I’d probably be jotting mad thoughts in a diary only to forget about it and never finish them (like all of my diaries of childhood). So thank you for being there–for being so supportive–in commenting, sharing, twitter-ing, and facebook-ing. You’re wonderful and I feel like I’ve gotten to know so many of you regulars. I’m blessed to have you as a part of my life.

    I’m sending positive thoughts your way! I had a cat run away once — she was spotted 7 days later only a few blocks from the house. It was the huge posters hanging around the neighborhood that helped. (And Happy Thanksgiving!)

    I’m not sure what part of Houston you live in, but my neighborhood (Braeswood Place/ West University) has a person to contact for lost pets and he sends out emails with the lost pet info.     We think that my boyfriend actually does have “Holiday Heart” – he gets intense heart palpitations after a night of drinking so he has to cut alcohol out of his life. I had never heard of it before until he finally read it in one of his USMLE study books haha.
