Isle of Capri: Kohl’s Chaps Capris

When I was asked to be a part of the Kohls Chaps Capri campaign, you know that I totally gravitated towards white. Every spring capri’s are the must-have item, and this pair from Chaps will undoubtedly be one of them. The pants’ name derives from the Italian isle of Capri and Grace Kelly was one of the first celebrities to wear the pants on the island – taking it back to the rest of the world it quickly became a hit fashion in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

There is no better way to lift your spirits in springtime than with a pair of white capris. I really mean it. It goes with everything! I could just as easily have worn these with a fresh pedicure and gladiator sandals. Perfect! You can definitely expect to see more white on the fashion scene this spring and summer–and by fashion scene I mean fashion blogs of course (aren’t we the new everyman’s authority, after all?). For more white pant looks, check these out.

Scroll down for a little treat to the tune of $250!

Thank you to Chaps/Kohl’s for asking me to be a part of this campaign. To celebrate, we are giving away 2 gift cards valued at $125 each to PSS readers! To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment–a sweet message, a question, something you’d like to see more of in the future on PSS…give me your two cents!

I’ll pick two winners via random number generator on Friday April 8 at 8pm Central time! Good luck!

Great giveaway! I just got the Kohls Chaps red/blue boat shoes and I loooove their nautical, comfy, girliness all in one! I do have a question for you that I'm currently researching… if I were to invest in one timeless (and fabulous can't hurt) handbag, what should it be??

oh, and thank you so much for the giveaway! my question would be what do you think a few summer wardrobe essentials are? especially for us Texans!

I don't shop at Kohl's that often, but when I do, I always find a great deal on something really cute.

I would love to see more of how you style "everyday" items like these capris! I need more help with taking less expensive items and making them look more personal. Keep it up!

i adore your blog! being an (almost) native houstonian, i'd love your blog anyway, but i really do love your style. plus, it's great to see a fashion blogger that's on the petite side :)

I adore your blog! You give out such a wealth of info, and I'm always excited to see what you have each morning! This is an awesome giveaway… After reading your step to becoming a successful fashion blogger, I've found myself with more and more thoughts. My questions for you, as a relatively new blogger, are how do I get companies to do giveaways on my blog? What's the best way to write a company requesting sponsorship?? How do I make it in this bloggy blog world?! Haha. I'd love as much advice I can get!

    Mucho Love,

    Trissta

I appreciate Kristina's post. The photography alone is inspiring enough to get me here. But her outfits are always interesting. And while, as she knows, I don't always like every piece…I always take something away! Thanks Kristina and Thanks Kohls! (Love the second picture….Gotta try sunglasses in one of my posts! )

I love the lighting in these pictures. You are so good at providing tips and tricks to your fellow blog readers/bloggers, and I'd love to see a post on camera photography for fashion blogs. What have you learned? What challenges have you had to overcome in learning photography? How do you capture the light just so (like in the first pic)?

  10. Kim says

I get so many ideas from your blog. Can't wait to see more "warm weather" posts with shorts & casual sandals!

  11. says

Umm, hello, how fabulous is that?! I love your blog and anything with pretty photos is great to me. I also love reading about Texas favorites, because I'm a long way from home and miss my great state :)

I love your blog! Could you do a segment about key pieces to invest in … such as a great timeless handbag that's worth the heavy price tag; or your favorite key pieces (coats, jeans, shoes) that you think are essential, and that would be good to invest in. ….just an idea :)

Is it cheesy to say I want to see more Parking Garage on the blog? I adore your photos up here? Also, I love when you do your makeup of the moment posts! BTW, Those shoes are absolutely adorable on you!

what a wonderful giveaway.. thanks ..would love to see posts which show a little bit of the process of how you put together a whole outfit including accessories..for the style challenged people like me :)

I love those capris! The collections at Kohl's keep getting better and better with the perfect mix of trendy and classic pieces. =]

your outfits are always so original, I adore them.

I have to agree with relatable style here. The pants together with the boots are not the most flattering on you. I think it's mostly the boots though. I guess with a nice pair of heels, with flats or sandals, they would look great on you, but the boots cut your legs off in a weird way. That makes you look short and kind of cut off!

I have to agree with all the others though, I love your blog and come back for several reasons, so this won't change it :) Lovely photos with great lighting!

You golden gob you! The sunshine in the first 2 photos couldn't possibly be any more perfect.

Everytime I go into Kohls, I walk out with something. Most recently, a pair of grey wedges, on uber sale.

I took one look at your first pic and said to myself, ‘Those must be her Sam Edelman’s!’ You have single-handedly sharpened my sense of style! Love the capris and LOVE the vintage top!

  19. says

You are amazing! I don't know how you pull off having this amazing blog while being a full time med students. So many people cant even do half of what you are doing, and you do it all so fabulously!

  20. says

Woohoo great giveaway. I love your blog. I'm a mommy of triplets so I need clothing inspiration. MOst of my time I'm in sweats and hair in a bun. Blah no bueno. So keep it up!

  21. Sunny Orange says

I really admire your sense of style. Being a medical student as well, I have no idea how you manage to keep your style on point EVERY DAY! It's a struggle for me. I love how you take a lot of risks with your dressing–you never fall flat. I wonder, what is one fashion trend you will NEVER try?

    Great giveaway!

I would love to a little more budget friendly items. Even if they are just accessories, and stuff. To say I'm on a shoe string budget would be giving my budget an ego boost!

  23. says

I have also been enjoying the white bottoms you've been incorporating lately. You did a great job of layering these tops as well! Thanks for another giveaway opportunity :)

  24. says

Love the ensemble!! And congrats on working with Kohls!! For me, when it comes to spring, I can't stop thinking about floral printed dresses and flirty white dresses with lace on them and the whole brown belt on a dress look (ironically they don't tend to look so great on me so I don't wear them very often) … maybe a post along those lines?? =) Just a suggestion!!

  25. Melody says

I love those capris! So many capris get really tight at the bottom instead of being the same straight length all the way down. I especially like the way you paired them with tights and boots. Way to make the capris work before it gets warm enough to really enjoy the short length.

  26. says

    What a wonderful giveaway!!

I love all of your outfit posts, but since I am such a beauty freak, I love those just as much! I'd love to see more beauty routines / product recs from you!

  27. Laura says

Those are cute capris! We don't have Kohl's in Canada, but I'm heading down to the US at the end of the month, and it's one of the stores I'm excited to try out!
