Kardashian Kollection Makeover

A while back I was in New York City for a makeover / fashion shoot for the new Kardashian Kollection line, which is available exclusively at searsStyle, and designed by the Kardashian sisters. It was such a fun experience (my first professional photo shoot ever!) and I thoroughly enjoyed all the girly aspects (having my makeup, nails and hair done) and all the wonderful people on set. I also really enjoyed getting to know my fellow co-models, A Mom in Red High Heels, and Miss Whoever You Are–such fun girly-girls like myself!

We were instructed to look casual and comfy, and shot “Before” photos. Man, oh, man–wait til you see the “After” photos and you’ll realize why I felt so frumpy beforehand! (Just as a hint…they dubbed my style “Rocker Chic”.) Click on to see the “After” photos!

Sweater- J.Crew | Shirt- J.Crew | Jeans- Gap | Necklace- Ann Taylor (old) | Shoes- Wanted

Makeup: Done. Nails: Done: Next up, it’s hair time!

And now…for the BIG REVEAL:

Behind the scenes…

There was much smizing involved.

Seriously, that shit is hard.

(They’re wow-ing over the comparison of the before-and-after for me…Meanwhile, am thinking about quitting the blog, as have lost all credibility)

(Kidding! I was thinking about how funny my eyelashes felt on my eyebrows.)

A word about the Kardashian Kollection: nobody was more surprised than I to discover the clothes were unbelievably cute! And wearable! Yes, even the leopard jumpsuit (so cute, I’m telling you)! I’ve already worn my sequin blazer, leggings, and biker boots combo out several times since, and will seriously wear every single piece again. Touché, Kardashians, touché. And be sure to check out searsStyle for more on the Kardashian Kollection, as well as some of the other pieces I wore in the shoot–UK Style by French Connection & Bongo–for really cute accessories & beauty products at affordable prices for real girls like us.

Major thanks go out to Glam Media (my lovely ad network) and Sears Style for hosting three fabulous ladies and for such a wonderful opportunity! From what I’ve heard, the photos will be used in major online campaign ads and digital media worldwide. Yay!

Oh your make-up and styling is fabulous! I’d love to get once a professional styling – never had it, in for my every-day make up, I don’t experiment a lot… but i have to admit – i prefer your outfits than these ;-) xxx Anita

You look great! Your original look is cute and more appropriate for every day wear, but the Kardashian clothes look great for a night out. I must say I am surprised at how nice their line is. It’s not my style, but I can appreciate the edginess, (is that a word?) nonetheless.

So FIERCE!! love it, you look amazing in these photos and you were totally rocking that photoshoot. And I want every item from the first outfit! those leggings and sequin blazer are just too amazing.

AHHHHHHH! Love! “Rocker chic” is how I wish I could dress every single day! (Okay, maybe some days I would just want to wear ruffles and bows). But seriously, love the look!!!!! Pleather leggings and all black are my ultimate favorite to wear out (with some awesome heels). You look fabulous and it looks like you had a great time! I haven’t bought a piece from their collection yet, but I definitely want to :)

I must agree with this comment……I thought you looked absolutely lovely before as you do in all your photos. You style yourself brilliantly and not sure that the “after” shoot really looked all that good. You looked good…..just that the clothes didnt.

Rocker chick indeed! HOT! I love your style but this is such a fun change – great eye makeup. I especially loved the sequined blazer with the leggings. Before, I wasn’t sure I could live with myself if I bought anything from the Kardashian collection, but now I’m not so sure…

…while I’m not a fan of the kardashians at all….I LOVE your after pics! and the clothes look really nice too! Man!…to have someone do your make up every day…how glorious would that be! :)

You look beautiful, but I much prefer *your* own style to those dreadful Kardashian creatures’ style. I’m sorry, but they are just plain awful. They look so trashy all the time. You have a stunning style, and I love to see the looks you pull together, with NO help from the Ks. You are fun, girly, and have just the right amount of edge and flair…please keep doing your own thing. Its fab!
