My Updated Haircare Routine

Lately I’ve been trying a new thing with my haircare routine and I thought I would share it with you, in case you happen to be one of those unlucky women cursed blessed with fine, limp hair like mine. Warning, this is NOT for thick or very dry hair! I use this shampoo and this conditioner, but I’m not sure you actually need this particular set-  just a nourishing, hydrating, sulfate-free set will do the trick just fine. Let me know how it works for you! What do you think? Any hair care tips you’d care to share with us?

Were you conditioning your entire head before, when you shampooed first? Just curious because I also have really fine hair (but a lot of it!) and only condition my ends now (after shampooing). I wonder if the conditioner first technique achieves a similar look since the roots aren’t weighed down at the end either way? Hmmm… I’ll have to experiment!

Great question! I always only conditioned my ends for the same reason you mentioned. :)

You definitely have a lot more volume! I spray dry shampoo right on my roots and blow dry it upside down for about a minute for times I need more volume.
I’m loving your periwinkle eyes and bright pink lips here!

I’ve tried this tip before, but forgot about it. I wash my hair about two times a week, and rinse just with water in between, and use dry shampoo. I find that helps. I also only condition the ends, or I will have super flat, lame hair!

Since I’ve switched to more mild products in a bid to escape methylisothiazolinone (MIT), I have found that my fine hair can’t go as long between washes as it used to when I used harsher products with sulfates (which makes all that nice lather…which I did really love). But my hand eczema (remember when I asked you about it) is finally gone, yay!

As usual, great tips, superb video. You are the video master, Madame!

This is what I’ve done in a failed experiment with coconut oil for my scalp. The conditioner dissolves the oils and then you shampoo! Most of the time to be honest I just use an ultra moisturizing shampoo and skip conditioner altogether. I’m going to try this!

    Thanks!

I tried it and it worked nicely. My hair wasn’t as soft as it usually is, but it is wasn’t dry either. I use Pureology shampoo and conditioner (purple hydrate line) and I’d love to find something I like as much as it but not so $$$$. Now to just grow out this terrible haircut I got last week :( sooo sad.

If we talk about shine and color of hair, it worked fine for me. it just made my hair a little dry and am not having second thoughts about using it again. I have a routine of using Natural Organic Care products and they work fine for me.
