Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to buy what you want at prices you can always afford? The world has changed a lot over the last dozen years. We have gone from prices controlled by brands to prices set by the market. That market is always shifting.

Today’s seller and buyer want to connect with each other quickly, efficiently, at a minimum loss of time and energy. They want to have an optimized transactional experience that leaves them both feel they have won. And they want to connect at a human level. A level which keeps pace with today’s social media world. Galoo is how this is done.

We set up Galoo to offer the kind of transactional experience we each want to have. We wanted to find ways to unlock the pent up transactional power that is usually locked up in smaller budgets and dusty stockrooms. Our reasoning was a simple one. Lower budgets can frequently make economic sense when they are aligned with end-of-run sales, over runs and end-of-season stocks. In a traditional world of buying and selling items these two sides of the transactional equation would never meet. People with lower budgets would think that they cannot afford what they want. Stockists who have items to sell and want to get rid of them fast would be unable to promote them as that would add to the cost of their operations.

Nothing is traditional with Galoo. By offering a handy place for buyers to specify what they want and how much they want to spend we make it easy for sellers to decide whether it is worth their while to jump in and connect.

There are many advantages to buying and selling this way. First, unlike in an online auction the costs and price are fixed from the start. Buyers are upfront about how much they have to spend. Sellers can quickly make a decision on whether to go for that price or not. This is a very streamlined way of selling and buying. Second, the connection is direct and personal. Sellers no longer sell to faceless masses. They get to know their buyers and connect with them the old-fashioned, direct, one-to-one way. Buyers no longer buy from faceless corporations. They understand that behind each brand are people, just like them, with the need to make a living.

This adds new value to each transaction. Not only do buyers and sellers can do business which leaves both feel that they are winning, but they can connect with each other just like we did in the past, when buying and selling took place around the village green and the town square. Now that is just the kind of feeling that makes us so passionate about Galoo. We hope you can share that passion and tell all your friends about us.
