Too Faced Melted Metal Lipstick Swatches

too faced melted swatches1

L to R, top to bottom: Melted Frosting, Melted Melon, Melted Metallic Peony, Melted Metallic Bunny, Melted Metallic Debutante, Melted Metallic Tu-Tu

Too Faced have been out with their “Melted Lipstick” range for a little while now, but they only just released a new “metallic” formula that adds shine and iridescence. They sent me a few of their range and I thought I would swatch them for you!

Formula: Opaque, creamy, moisturizing, this lipstick is like a hybrid between a liquid lipstick and an actual lipstick bullet. It truly does feel like a melted-down lipstick in tube form. Goes on opaque, sometimes catches on dry patches depending on the color, great staying power, leaves a long-lasting satin finish on the lips, with higher shine accompanying the Metallic formulation.

Price: $21

Verdict: If you enjoy liquid lipsticks but don’t enjoy the dryness that can sometimes accompany it, these would be a better option for you. Wish they came out with a matte version! I also preferred the original (non-metallic) version since I’m not a fan of frosted finishes. If you like the “Frost” range of lipsticks from MAC, you will like the Metallic range.

Favorite shade: Melted Melon & Melted Strawberry (a tie between them both)

Consignment

As a beauty and style blogger, you know this girl can accumulate quite a fair few treasures. I also have hoarding tendencies, but thanks to my husband’s suggestion and the power of the Luxury Managers via the White Glove service at The RealReal, I’ve managed to select a few treasures from my collection that IRead & Comment →

Jouer Perfume Oil

Recently Jouer sent me their Perfume Oil–and basically, it is genius. It involves a rollerball perfume (a concept we all know and [most of us] love–for its portability, convenience, unobtrusiveness, and value). But instead of an eau de toilette variety as is typically the norm for rollerball editions, this involves a perfume oil. The concept is genius,Read & Comment →

Splurge or Steal: Contour Kits

I know it’s not completely the biggest save of the century here, but I thought I would share with you a new discovery — the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit which everyone raves about (and was brought back months after being sold out everywhere) is a balmy $40 of cold hard cash. But what ifRead & Comment →

St. Patrick’s Day Treat Cups

I found these amazing parfait-like kid-friendly treat cups on Pinterest, and, being the kid that I am, I couldn’t help myself. I had to make them. I made sure to document the whole process so you could see how easy it is to recreate! I cannot take credit for the idea as I found thisRead & Comment →

When it comes to Spring cleaning, I actually totally dread it–but after I’m done, I’m so glad I forced myself to endure through the odious task of chucking out the old to make way for tidiness. I have a horrible habit of accruing things and never putting them away in their proper place. To getRead & Comment →

Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serum

It’s rare that I get up and talk to you about a single product in a blog post, but this deserves to be mentioned. I’m in love with a lotion–and I’m pretty sure it loves me back (at least, my skin thinks so). I’ll bet you didn’t guess it was from Vaseline. Their new serum-basedRead & Comment →
