Peaches Ash and Resin

So…I did something pretty crazy. You know how I only recently experimented with my hair color? Well, I got tired of the endless maintenance and decided to dye my hair back to its natural color (ash blonde). Turns out it was more ash than blonde but it’s really growing on me! We’ll see how it goes! What do you think? It sure is weird not being a platinum blonde anymore!

Oh well, I’ve always got my glittery gold shoes to brighten my day!

These resin jeans (a topic which I opined upon here) are so much fun. Less give than traditional denim (as evidenced by the heckuva time I had painting my toenails in them – quite difficult to hug your knee to your chest in these!) but surprisingly comfortable.

Weigh in with your thoughts (going back to my roots–er, haircolor that is, resin jeans, glitter Toms, anything)!

Love, Kristina

Hmmm–oddly enough I do like the hair–maybe now you need to change your makeup to go with your new color so your fair skin doesn't get washed out. I liked it platinum too! In the last picture, you DEFINITELY have a Mia Farrow look and that isn't bad!

Cardigan–oh yea, that's a cutie! Flats are cute but I think with your petite size that higher heels serve to elongate the leg but guess you can't be waltzing around in 4 inchers all the time.

I tried the outfit posts like you advised. My fans are liking them. Thanks for the tip. Here's the link if you want to see- -http://stillblondeafteralltheseyears.com/http:/stillblondeafteralltheseyears.com/giveaways/uncategorized/outfits/

You'll notice that at the moment, I am solidly in between ash blonde and platinum!

Hey that looks great! You're exactly right – I cannot teeter in 4 inch heels all the time! So these flats are a nice respite for my weary ankles :)

I am awaiting the day you don't dislike something in my outfit ;)

LOVE the color combo here and all your gold accessories. I've been a little up in the air about these Toms for a while, wondering if it was something I would like, or whether they'd be totally over the top, but you've kind of inspired me to give them a try.

And as for the hair, I thought I'd prefer you as a platinum blonde, but the ash makes you look very….1950s housewife, and I love.

I agree with Arlyn on the hair….I totally thought 1950s housewife when I saw the new do! (not sure that's the look you're going for but I like it)

Love the cardigan. ONce my clothing spending hold has ceased I will be getting some cute new cardi's for fall!

Those jeans rock!

Not a fan of the shoes, but you are definitely rockin' them too!

I love the hair…I could even see you going a little darker!

I had a pair of resin jeans about 10 years ago and loved them!

I'm new to your blog–found it by following the Coach Poppy trail :)–and I love your hair color. It's unique! I'm thinking about buying a pair of Toms (Love the cause!), but are they similar to your regular shoe size? I wear a size 6 and am wondering if a Toms size 6 will be too tight?

Reply

Kristina Friday, August 6th, 2010 at 10:49 am

Hey Samantha! I wear a 6.5 and got the glitters in 6.5 since they're a bit stiffer than regular Toms. You're safe getting them in your regular size, although I bought a pair in grey in size 6 for a snugger fit, but they are pretty true to size. Hope that helps!! Thanks for visiting and be sure to come back!
