Sweater: Gap (really, really old) | Blouse: Forever 21 (similar) | Jeans: Hudson (similar) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAC | Boots: Urban Outfitters | Watch: Michael Kors Lexington Tri-color

Sometimes it can be a bit hard to find that perfect crewneck-and-statement-collar combination, but this sweater really never fails me. It’s probably a decade old, but it has seen me through time and time again (thanks, Gap, I really should shop there more often these days!).

This past weekend was one of those blissful weekends where you do everything and nothing. Finally stored the Christmas decorations in the attic (they’ve been lounging in the hallway for an embarrassingly long time). Saturday and Sunday we spent together, doing couple-y things like grocery shopping and cooking enormous meals (using our new grill, natch) that we can’t possibly finish. Oh, and drinking wine. Lots and lots of wine.

Like I said…perfect.

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

I’ve always loved a great studded collar! I also how well that Rebecca Minkoff bag goes so beautifully with the gorgeous teal color of that sweater.  To be honest, I never would have had any clue that it was almost 10yrs. old – it looks great! Do you have some clothes care and/or laundry secrets we all should know about? LoL!  ;)

I love the collar on your wonderful shirt and the color of your sweater is gorgeous against your skin.  This is so cute.  Love that mint shade!

Beautiful! I love that “Tiffany” blue color…no other shade pops in the same way. It just makes me happy!!

you look so comfortable, yet cute? how you do it, I will never know! (LOVING the color of the sweater).

In other news, our weekends were very similar. I ended up in a pseudo veggie-like state Sunday…can’t say I’m proud, but sometimes I just NEED to have a day like that!

You’re such a tease posting with that awesome Rebecca Minkoff MAC bag!  Is it just me or does it look like your sweater is in 3D??  The teal is popping off my screen :)

Its so funny you mentioned that about GAP.  I have a ton of GAP stuff that has been with me for far longer than I even care to admit, though I am not a current/present avid GAP shopper.  Hmm… anyway, cute outfit, love the collar, very sassy.

check us out? follow us back?

I’m 5″2 as well – can I ask which style of hudson’s you’re wearing?  I often find jeans don’t fit us shorter ladies in the  -ahem – crotch!

Hi, I’m sorry but not a fan of the outfit. I do however love you’re haircut. Looks really nice and healthy. I also love Rebecca Minkoff. I have a camel color swing bag. LOVE.

That’s the funny thing about GAP. Every now and then, they make something that is absolutely perfect. I feel that way about some legging jeans from 2009, and this year’s Essential t-shirts, and their always skinny denim from 2010.  I just can’t quit them, because I know they will always have something (even if just one thing) that is perfectly perfect.
