Sequin & Shine

Top- H&M | Shorts- Old Navy (old) | Sunglasses- Elizabeth & James “Benedict” | Watch- Guess (gifted) | Shoes- Nine West | Nails- Deborah Lippmann Stop & Stare

Good sequined tops are so hard to find at a great price–namely because you want them to be of good quality and not short you on the details (frequent offender: sequins only on the front of the top/sweater–hate that!). So when I spotted this top at H&M in Las Vegas, I knew it was a great deal and well made. In fact, it was pretty much my only shopping purchase in Vegas–now how’s that for self control?

(It may or may not have to do with the fact that a glass of water and crust of bread will cost you $22.50 at any given restaurant.)

Wedding is getting close! I have my beauty appointments (eyebrows, spray tan, unmentionables…check) lined up this week and I have to say, the stress is definitely taking its toll.

I have wedding nightmares (wedmares) and one of them involved our officiant forgetting the whole part about the rings, and I realized only after the entire wedding that we didn’t have our rings on and they weren’t blessed, etc. I was horrified. Never been so happy to wake up in a long time!

My back feels so tense all over, and even though I’m not a massage person ($$$ for 45 minutes of relaxation?)….it might be necessary this time.

eeek you look so cute in these photos! I love the daytime sparkles, you’ve done it perfectly. I love every thing in this outfit actually and now I think I may need sunglasses like yours.

I love this outfit, you’re a fun, style inspiration for me. I know what you mean about the sequins only on the front. I ordered a dress online for new years and didn’t realize until it came in that it was like that, lame…

Your take on a massage made me laugh. Go to Whole Foods. It’s only a $1 a minute. I go for 10 minutes, pay 10 bucks, and i feel like its just a better alternative to massage parlors. Happy Wedding!

Love this top – how come I haven’t seen this at my local store?! I highly recommend getting a massage prior to the wedding…but don’t get it the day before or you might be sore (like I was)! Everything is going to be beautiful & perfect – don’t worry!! :)

Great top (and the sandals! Love them!) Haha, I remember getting the same wedmares a few weeks before the wedding – I was stressed trying to get those last minute things done too. But, as but I’m sure you already know, no matter what happens, it will be an amazing day – trying to keep that in mind definitely helped me relax and enjoy the last few days before it. Congrats again! :)

Love, love, love this top. One question – are the sequins really sparkly or are they more matted? Think I may have to get one… Get yourself a massage – I believe in them 100%. At least it will give you time to clear your mind. How exciting, just days away! Yay!

Wedmares? I had those until well AFTER my wedding. The most notable was that our officiant did not show up, so Eminem graciously offered to step in, but only if I wore a navy blue wedding dress. How’s that for odd? In any case, I am sure all will go well with your real-life wedding, even if the one in your subconscious isn’t working out so well. Take care!

Love this H&M find and so, so excited for your forthcoming wedding! Sometimes it’s worth spending the money on a massage even though my mind often races the whole time anyway. I’m one of those people who find it so challenging to shut it off. ANyway, loving your look and so happy for your happiness! :)

I remember how insane it got before my wedding so I’m def feeling you on this one. Everything will be ok- I mean, you have that pack of wedding essentials kit thingee, and you have your man :)
Oh, and shell out on the massage (or massages), it’s totally worth it!

Please relax and enjoy! It will be beautiful. You will beautiful.

Life is imperfect, so expect that there may be some bumps in the road that day (there always are). Once you realize that, the wedding day can be about the love you share with the man of your dreams, instead of all these details.

Repeat this mantra, “life is imperfect, the wedding may be imperfect, and that’s ok, I am with the man of my dreams”.

Plus you will be GORGEOUS(because you already are)!

I did not have any wedding nightmares at all. The day came by and I was happy and excited. Next thing you know, I started to cry. They were tears of excitement and joy but it all blurred into uncontrollable sobbing. I was laughing and crying at the same time. I didn’t think I would cry. It was farthest away from my mind that I would be those teary brides.

There will be unexpected things that happen. But they happen for a reason. Don’t worry. Your wedding will go be fine. Just stay calm and enjoy your day!

I love how you paired the orange heels with your outfit! I have a similar top I wore with jean shorts recently, I just wish I wasn’t too lazy to find my white shorts! Looks great!

Wow! The outfit looks dashing! The sequined top is yes, sequined and in general should catch a lot of attention, but this isn’t as over the top as the other sequined ones. I like how you matched it with awesome sandals that is a contrast to your bright top and white pair of shorts. I’m loving the sunglasses, too. So classy!

I have been debating for quite some time as to whether I should pick up that exact sequin sweater! I’d love to wear it with some dark denim jeans in the fall. It looks great with the white shorts. I’ve been loving cool tones lately
