Sneak Peek Spring 2010: Rain Boots

by Kristina on January 3, 2010

Spring is a lovely time–and not just because my birthday happens to fall around then (May 1st, holla!). It’s full of sunny days, chirping birds, blossoming blooms, and…rainshowers.

But you know PSS has got you covered. Literally.

I’m good like that.

I have a phenomenal obsession with rain boots. Argyle galoshes currently reside in my teeny-weeny closet right now. If I wasn’t such a poor med student, I’d totally buy each and every one of these. But I can’t, so…I’ll share them with you!

Leave it to me to blog vicariously through others. Enjoy!

Squish in style this spring with PSS

  1. MICHAEL Michael Kors $98
  2. Kate Spade “Randi” $125
  3. Hunter Original Gloss $125
  4. KORS Michael Kors $125
  5. Pour La Victoire “Rus” $216
  6. Sperry Top-Sider Pelican Tan Plaid $67

Here are some more lovelies. One of them (#2) is rather traditional and I like it very, very much. I’m also hearting #3. The rest are some crazier boots I found that make take a bit more…courage, to wear.

Crazy or Traditional, it's all good!

  1. DSQUARED2 Raining Boot $189
  2. Chooka Signature Herringbone $70
  3. Burberry Check Pattern $195
  4. Fessura Women’s Clear Rain Boot $120
  5. Kamik Wales Boot in Yellow $60
  6. Chooka Women’s Buffalo Bone Lace-up Rain Boot $80 $44

Do you wear rain boots when it’s slick out? Which of these collections would YOU wear?

P.S. — Pretty, Shiny, Sparkly is now iPhone and iPod Touch compatible! Stay updated by bookmarking http://prettyshinysparkly.com to your home screen. We don’t get too much rain here, but if I had my pick it would be the M. Kors shown first for sure! Love your banner w/ hearts. I kinda have a thing for hearts….!

I loved looking at all those boots! Living in Oregon, they are definitely needed and I am looking to add some to my shoe collection. The Burberry pair may have made my heart flutter.

Oh my GOSH – I didn’t know that I could fall in love with galoshes! But I am – smitten, totally! It’s the hot candy pink ones that I would snap up. YUM.

what a fun blog – I’ll be back for sure!

Fun post! I’ve always wanted a pair of rain boots. We can get some nasty rain in Florida. I think if I do invest in a pair, I would want them to look like rain boots, not a pair of rain boots trying to look like normal boots, so I’d opt for something like the Burberry checkered ones or the Kamik Wales boots :)

Hunter’s are the best… though, if your planning to get them and wear them in cold weather make sure you get the fleece insert
