Nicola of Canadian-based GEEKWARE does something pretty interesting. She transforms obsolete electronic and computer equipment into fabulous accessories for yourself or your home, and does it all by hand. I think it is such a creative and stylish way to be a part of the repurposing revolution. Electronic equipment isn’t exactly landfill-friendly and doesn’t exactly “erode”. But hey, what doesn’t erode is bad for the environment, but oh-so-good for you!
Give a savvy, green gift to a coworker or fellow blogger. My personal favorite is the CD Clock (in blue, shown above), which can be set on a desk using a free enclosed stand, or hung on a wall for kitchen or home-office chic. Do you have an accent wall in your home? My advice would be to place one of these beauties against an accent wall of a contrasting (and therefore complementary) color for maximum impact.
