Back with another edition of SPLURGE or STEAL: this time it’s the battle of the gel eyeliners. Gel eyeliner rapidly gained popularity in the mainstream thanks to its impressive results in the cat-eye department, and its set-it-and-forget-it staying power. I’ve long used Bobbi Brown’s Long Wear gel eyeliner but these two drugstore renditions have me swooning. And I’ll never go back to the high-end stuff.

    I’m a little afraid to apply gel liner myself, but I love the way it looks. And since you’ve pointed out the less expensive brands I think I’ll try it, and it won’t hurt my pocketbook if it doesn’t work out.

    i used to wear the bobbi brown gel eyeliner but have been on hiatus from gel liners in general. i will definitely have to check out the loreal one soon! than you for sharing!

    I think you should do a video showing how to put on the gel eyeliner. I use a liquid eyeliner pen but am not sure how to use the gel eyeliner..

    I, of course, like the Bobbi Brown and MAC Fluidline, but I am also REALLY loving the ELF cream liner (which is gel liner). ELF is really hit or miss for me but I just adore it! I’ll have to check out the L’Oreal one. L’Oreal is really kicking major butt with some of their products lately!

    I have the Smashbox Gel Liner compact with a variety of colors. They really disappoint, for the price I need better quality. I end up with a black line on my crease. Maybe the drugstore can help :)

    Stopping to get this on my way home bc I’m done trying to fight with my drying-up-as-we-speak Bobbi Brown liner. BB is great – - but really only when it’s brand spanking new.

    Good to know! I use BB gel eyeliner and love it. But I’m also a fan of L’Oreal products. I use their mascara and love it so I will seriously consider getting the L’Oreal liner next time!

    I am really bad with eyeliners, but this maybelline is the best! Whoever worked on this little brush is a genius! It is so easy to use.

    I love the clinique gel liner! Its middle of the road cost wise, but it lasts for ever! I would love to see a dry shampoo post, as I am always on the hunt for a good one

    I have been searching for a great gel liner. I will be sure to pick up the Loreal version today. The next thing I could really use is a lesson on how to apply it in that gorgeous cat-eye fashion you have on. I have very round, large eyes and I would like to give them a more cat eye appearance.     Oh My Gosh! I love them!! Glam Girl Naturals has some of the BEST natural makeup out there! I also use the black shade(Onyx) Gel Liner. It works like a wonder and looks amazing.
