Take My Breath Away

Dress- Forever 21 (similar)| Belt- Forever 21 | Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell via Nasty Gal | Clutch- Zara | Sunglasses- gift from Guess | Nails- Lilac (Zoya) and silver (Deborah Lippmann) nails (close up shot)

Sidenote: the title of this post has nothing to do with me or these photos (in fact, my titles rarely do); instead, Top Gun is playing in the background as I write this post and my favorite song from the film (Take My Breath Away) is playing and now I can’t stop humming it. Love.

I’m wearing a new dress recently scored in a Forever 21 shopping haul for our upcoming engagement photo shoot (can’t wait!). Also wearing from that haul, this sparkly gold belt…swoon. The sunglasses were sent to me by Guess and I just love their slight butterfly shape but they’re still classic enough to wear without getting sideways glances. Methinks they will replace the Ray-Bans currently in my bag for a good while.

Now that’s one lovely dress! You look gorgeous. I’ve discovered your blog yesterday and I’m hooked!! How you manage to write such great and frequent posts besides your medical training is beyond me but I’ll be definitely stopping by regularly now. :)

I love your shoes!! The pointy toe and platform are so va-va but the color makes them completely “go with everything”!! The sequin clutch is pretty fab also!

Thanks V! You’re lookin’ at like 2nd day hair right there…couldn’t have run a comb through it if I wanted to. Something about the dry shampoo + curling iron + hairspray…

Such a cute and fun outfit! The belt and clutch combo work great together! I don’t go into Forever 21 very often because of the enormous amount of clothing they stock. I just get very overwhelmed when I go in, but I might have to venture in there soon because I love your dress and belt.

I recently found your blog and I love it! I am a nursing student and because of the work load of school I was really contemplating starting a blog, but once I saw that a medical student could create a very successful blog I figured with some dedication I could too (or at least I could try)!

    Adorable dress and amazing wedges!

P.S. Your online store looks amazing and I got so excited about your shoes… until I realized I would never be able to buy them, a bit too small for me! :( haha

That dress is so cute, I love how you’ve paired it with the belt/bag. So jealous, it will be months before I can wear a dress like that without tights and a sweater here in KY! Brrrrrrr!

That is one of my favourite movies EVER!!!! As soon as I saw the title, the song started up in my head. Anyway, that dress is pure cuteness! Looks great with the belt!
