Last weekend HB and I drove the short distance to one of the largest parks in Houston. Peering at my iPhone’s screen that displayed a pseudo-map of the park’s layout, I became his compass as I pointed the way to something called the Reflection Pool. Well, we never found it. We got too distracted by this jogging trail and the “choo choo train” that ran along side it, and the cool iron structures to even notice we were missing the entire purpose of going.

I think times like those, when you are having too much fun to realize you’ve forgotten your entire initial purpose, are what life is all about. Don’t you?

Also, life is all about velvet leggings. FYI.

These leggings are AH-mazing!!! So comfy. So fun to rub absentmindedly. So good with my Sam Edelman suede boots!

It was so dreary and overcast – and bitterly cold. And by bitterly cold I mean 50 degrees in Houston, Texas. That’s bitter, here.

Um, also? That conductor hat? Yeah, I’m wearing that because my hair was going on 48 hours without washing it, and I wanted to spare you all. And HB. But mostly you all.

What’s that? Honesty isn’t always the best policy, you say? Oh. Oops.

The train is coming! OMG!

You have no idea how badly I wanted to get on this train.

Denied. Oh well, I guess that’s what two legs are for.

The social bar above is my tip jar. Pin, Like, and Tweet if you please!

Love, Kristina

I really like this jacket! Would you mind telling me what size you have it in so I would have a better idea of what size to order myself? My email is amandalovett9@gmail.com

Looks like a great day…love how you did not mean to, but your hat matches the same vibe as the train in the park!

Lovely, lovely! You might be the only other girl I know who wears stilettos to the park. A girl after my own heart!

The photo of you looking skyward is beautiful. I like the idea of velvet…did they stretch out?

Thanks Terri. I haven't had them all that long, but to my knowledge they shouldn't stretch out too much.

your RED lipstick… I'm looking for a color that works on fair-skinned blondes… what are you wearing?

Go for something pinky red, like MAC's Impassioned!

Ah! I saw those leggings at Madewell the other weekend and almost bought them, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. You might have me reconsidering my decision. So lucky someone gave them to you though! What a great gift.
