THE BEST: Bronzers

No matter your skin tone, one can always go for a little more skin bling. I have compiled my favorite body and face bronzers, in both liquid or powder form to suit your preferences. I recommend going with powder for face if you tend to use more of a full face makeup every day. If you’re a breeze-out-the-door kind of gal, opt for the stila bronzing moisturizer, it gives a nice glow and evens skin tone without looking heavy. I also love the Bourjois bronzer, fondly nicknamed the “chocolate” bronzer because it looks like a chocolate bar and smells like one too–but it’s a bit dark for extremely fair tones like me. Nars Laguna gives me the best non-orange tone, and I’m very fair.

The nice thing about bronzer is it’s temporary – no need to worry about knees, elbows, or (gasp) your face being orange-y. I do have a list of my favorite self tanners as well, so let me know in the comments if you’d like me to do a post about the best self-tanners out there on the market as well. :)

Avon GLOW Bronzing Pearls | Nars Laguna Bronzer | Avon GLOW Brush | Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzer | Cargo Multi-Mix Bronzer | stila bronzing tinted moisturizer | Scott Barnes Body Bling

Disclosure: I am a national Avon Brand Ambassador for 2012. I genuinely and honestly test and review each product and happen to love their bronzer and brush. All opinions are my own.

I would LOVE a post on your favorite self-tanners. As a very pale gal myself it’s hard to find ones that are tan enough without leaving me orangey.

I have the hardest time finding a bronzer that isn’t too dark or too shimmery for me…but Neutrogena makes a great one that’s half blush/half bronzer and I am praying they never discontinue it because it’s perfect – but, if they do, I’m coming back here to work my way through your list! :)

I agree that no matter the skin tone, we all can use a little bling! :-) I am a big fan of Avon products, but I haven’t tried their bronzers yet. I use to think that bronzers were for lighter skin tones, but I have seen where they really can add a nice glow to any tone. A product I use is not a bronzer, but a body lotion. It’s by Beyonce’s and it’s called Heat Rush Shimmering body lotion. It has little sparkles in it that have a luminescent quality to it when its applied to the skin and it smells wonderful too.

Great list of products! I love Avon & Cargo the best, but I’m willing to try them all! :-) I would love to read your favorite self-tanners out there as well.

Hi, I am glad I found your post .I think bronzers and a little bling could be just what I need to survive the winter.Which is just starting to kick in here in May in NZ.

I stay so far away from bronzers. I’m ghostly white and I just know I’d end up looking like a freak. I am super fascinated by the new gold face powder from Chanel- I know I could pull that off but its $80 which is way too extravagant for makeup for me. :sigh:

This is just the post I’ve been looking for! I’m also very fair skinned and have been looking for a good bronzer that doesn’t leave me orange. Think I’ll be giving the Nars one a try :-) thanks! xx

Thank you so much for sharing. I meant to buy a bronzer for a long time. The thing is the last time I tried one, I look way too tan in the photos. What do you recommend for me? I want something light but still look kinda tan. Have a great weekend!

NARS Laguna is my absolute favorite! I am wanting to try the Stila bronzing moisturizer next. I’d love if you did a self-tanner post, I’ll be needing some of that come this fall! :)
