Try It On: House of Harlow 1960

by Kristina on June 29, 2010 · 15 comments

locket, sunburst (sold out! here it is in black), abalone station

House of Harlow 1960 was one of those celebrity off-shoots (this one by Nicole Richie) that I was ready to ignore. But her designs are quite unlike anything else out there, and I think that speaks to a strong sense of confidence on Nicole’s part, and that’s something I really respect, and admire.

Her designs grow on me every time I browse the selection. Captivating my heart right now in particular are these pieces (five in all). But of these five, my favorite are the medallion locket and key necklaces, and the horseshoe bangle.

I really honestly think that designs like these are completely unique. (Who else makes a horse-shoe shaped bangle with gold pyramid studs? I’d sure like to know!)

So, hats off to you, Nicole Richie.

Touché.

The social bar above is my tip jar. Pin, Like, and Tweet if you please!

Love, Kristina

I love Nicole Richie! The woman can do absolutely no wrong in my eyes! AND how cute are her two kids? :) House of Harlow & Winter Kate are both fabulous lines! I need to get a piece from each in my life – now if only my budget understood that.

i love that Horseshoe bangle! ive noticed a lot of celebs wearing 5-10 bracelets at a time and ive been loooking for something to go along with my persona bracelet (http://www.personaworld.com). this is the perfect. there is a lot of beauty in simplicity and i think Nicole Richie has that figured out!!

wow yeah, i really like the collection. I especially love that key necklace. I would definitely wear most of what she has designed, and I am SO picky about jewelery.

It's also refreshing to know the celebrity is actually behind the line and not just the face of someone else's work. She does a beautiful job and I, too, lust over many items.
