tut tut it looks like rain

forever 21 top | forever 21 maxi skirt | jeffrey campbell ticks | vintage rolex | childhood locket

Sometimes I find myself dressing like the weather. Not for it, but like it.

The grey maxi skirt appealed to my desire to me comfortable & cozy. The pink top with sketch-like polka dots and an exaggerated long back was slouchy, drapey, and perfect. All I needed was some height to allow me to walk around without tripping around like a fool at Target, and my Jeffrey Campbell nude studded Ticks did the job just fine.

You can see the rain that started to sprinkle down in some of these shots – and my hair definitely didn’t like it!

Nothing brightens up my mood or home better than two dozen beautiful pink tulips on a dreary Sunday!

The social bar above is my tip jar. Pin, Like, and Tweet if you please!

Love, Kristina

i wish i could pull off wearing maxi skirts! i only have one maxi dress and i spend the whole time walking around holding it up so it doesn't get caught up in my legs! :) so i don't wear it often, but your post makes me want to pull it out of my closet and give it another try!

Don't be fooled – you can tell in the pictures I'm holding it up most of the time. It's still long on my petite 5'2" frame, even with platforms! Annoying-yes, but comfy-yesssss.

I dress like the weather too sometimes — or try to do the exact opposite.

You look gorgeous in this color palette and with the maxi skirt.

Too much rain here in Houston! I actually think you look brighter than the right. Btw, I'll take rain over 20 degrees as a low. Get ready for that tomorrow! LOL

Cute outfit and I love the skirt (but am I the only one who thinks it looks way too big on you? You're a teensy little thing!!!).

This skirt does look huge on me, but it's an XS!! I think my shirt bunched up in the photos too so it makes me look about 10x bigger, but…oh wells. :)

I'm really short but I've been thinking about trying the long skirt trend. Big tall shoes might be my answer!

I definitely held off on the long skirt trend, too, but I just couldn't avoid it any longer. Platforms are a must for us shorties!

Why are Jeffrey Campbell shoes so amazing? And expensive, hehe…

You pulled of this look so well with the skirt and everything, you look gorge.

Thanks Lynz! The main thing was that it be comfortable. It was Sunday, after all. ;) (And running errands at Target, no less.)

Thanks, S- I feel like it had a bit less shape than I would have liked, even tucking in the shirt, so I think I'll try a belt next time if I decide to recreate this look again. :)

Beautiful shots and a great outfit. Your hair looks fine to me!

Those tulips are gorgeous. They're probably my favourite flower ^_^

Dressing "like" the weather is a new one, but if it creates outfits as comfy and cute as this one, I must try it out. Flowers always make me happy too. When I start to feel a tad melancholy, my first stop is to the florist/grocery store to buy some gerber daisies or peonies (depending on the season).

Oh, and I was literally just lusting over those JC shoes in black, not two days ago.

Hi girlie! I've been following your blog ever since HB told me to check it out (we're classmates! and he is undoubtedly PSS's biggest fan). I got into it for the photography, and quickly got hooked on the outfit posts. LOVE IT! (Fun escape from: "Patient is a _ yr old __ __ c/o __ __ __…." ;)

I am seriously in love with this outfit. I love the top with the skirt. White and gray are one of my favorite color combos, especially when it's a rainy, gross day. You really pull it off. Seriously inspiring :)
