sweater c/o lands’ end canvas | boots c/o timberland | paige premium denim jeans | satchel c/o saddleback leather | cheap monday sunglasses | michael kors watch c/o shop bop | vintage gold bracelet | necklace by pradman

The day was a day of laying in bed for far too long, a coffee run at 10am, visiting the Houston Garden Center’s flower garden, and enjoying the beautiful weather and sunlight. Afterwards, it was dinner & a movie date with HB (we saw “Burlesque” which was amazing and, I’m sorry to say, chowed down on baby back ribs at Chili’s afterwards). It was a divine day.

One of my latest loves, besides this gorgeous sweater? My Saddleback Leather satchel. It has a 100 year warranty! And it’s Texan made, which, as you know, I therefore fully support. Not only is it stylish and on trend, it’s durable, gorgeous, thicker than boot leather, and converts into a backpack in about 2 seconds. It’s going with me on a trip this winter, but I haven’t fully diverged the details of that yet…but soon soon!!

Lands’ End Canvas sent me this gorgeous Nordic Sweater that I am 100% in love with. I was not aware of Lands’ End’s contemporary fashion line “Canvas” but I’m a new convert. Everything on the site looks (and as evidenced by the sweater) very, very well made.

Part wool, I was expecting it to be a little scratchy – and as a half-Norwegian, I’m no stranger to woollen sweaters – but this sweater caught me by surprise (literally, an exclamation of “Oh!” escaped my lips opening the package) in just how incredibly soft it is. Amazing! Loved it, and thanks very much to Lands’ End Canvas for providing me with my new favorite sweater.

I am petite at a diminutive 5’2″ and even though the sweater is meant to be boxy, it comes in an amazing XXS at its smallest- but I purchased XS since I really love the oversized look. It was perfect for what I was going for!!

Just a little tidbit about this shot. There were bumblebees everywhere, and as I was hunched down zooming in to take a pic of this big fellow, I felt a tickling on my ear and jumped about 10 feet in the air. It must have been a bumblebee! But no, it was HB, tickling me with a long blade of grass. I could have killed him!! We are both deathly afraid of bugs.

Love this hot pink lipstick color. It’s MAC “Impassioned”.

Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!

I did…..literally.

The social bar above is my tip jar. Pin, Like, and Tweet if you please!

Love, Kristina

That sweater is too amazing. I love that it's fitted, you don't see that too often on blogs these days.

Couldn't agree more Neekoh! Even more surprising that they offer sizes as

small as XXS…don't see that too often these days.

Love your Saddleback satchel!! Thats the exact color and style that I have and it's perfect for a travel carry-on. I just took mine on its first trip and it was great, especially with that top handle. I love the color too! Just ordered the new women's tote in the dark coffee brown for another look. Can't wait to receive it!!

Thanks Lynzy – the smell of roses was overwhelming. You don't come across really fragrant roses all that often, so it was a rare treat to sniff so many of them.

I think this is my most favorite outfit yet! This sweater is amazing. The Canvas line is gorgeous – I've been lusting over it for a little while now but you have me totally sold!

The pop of pink on your lips is the greatest touch. So pretty! :)

Thanks! It's MAC "Impassioned" and it's incredibly addicting!

I can't believe I had never heard about the Canvas line until I was contacted by Lucky Magazine about it….it's amazing, and I'm a total convert now!

Thanks morgan! Yeah when you're in the middle of it, and you don't know how they're turning out, it's hard to see on the little camera screen…seeing them on my computer screen was so much more fun. :) HB did a great job snapping away!

It was certainly both, Jen!! I was mostly surprised by how *soft* it feels…not scratchy like most wool at all.

Thanks for the post Kristina. Warm and cozy for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing the shoot with your daughter carrying the satchel and wearing the sweater in 30 yrs. Pretty timeless looking here. Thanks again.

Thanks Dave for making such a great satchel. It's definitely timeless and RUGGED as all hell! Super thick – I'm going to have to put it through works just to get it loosened up a bit! :) That's the sign of a great leather bag…. :)

Thanks so much! They've been sitting in my closet because I've been unable to wear them due to my calves being so large, but finally I said "I don't care" and zipped them up, and discovered there's a little mesh panel that provides a little stretch at the top, so it wasn't bad at all!

At first I was thinking "Love the boots!", then "Love the bag!", then "Love the jeans!"… okay, let's be honest, I really love each part of your outfit! Now the questions: what is the ring you are wearing on your first finger with the turquoise stones? And, where can you find paige jeans? Do these work well for petite ladies? THANKS! Jessica

Hey Jess! It's a Temple St. Clair for Target ring from a few months

ago! And I love my Paige skinny jeggings! At least I think they're

jeggings. Did have to get them hemmed though since I'm so short!

No offense to the Lands End model, but these pictures do the sweater much more justice than she.
I'm also deathly afraid of bees/all bugs. When I was a little girl and a bee would come a buzzin', I'd drop my bike in the middle of the street and run home screaming!
